Why MuLti-Tenant is Important

The term multi-tenant means a single application serves all users and results in lower subscription fees for users. FPX CPQ OnDemand™ is a true multi-tenant application which allows FPX to focus on innovation and not worry about hardware issues, custom coding and maintaining many different applications. Multi-tenant is the preferred architecture for on-demand applications for several reasons:

• The upgrade path to new versions of the application is automatic. All users across all organizations are upgraded simultaneously and usually at no additional expense. There is no longer a need to worry about having to upgrade your application every few months.
• FPX and other true multi-tenant vendors experience lower cost because there is only one code base and only one cluster of computers to maintain. This lower cost means a lower subscription fee for users.
• The hardware supporting a multi-tenant application is completely scalable – servers are added as the number of users increases. Each organization’s data is stored separately ensuring security.

When evaluating vendors, insist that they provide a true multi-tenant environment – don’t settle for single tenant or so-called “hybrid” applications.
