The configuration engine is at the core of every FPX sales application but it is also available through our Configuration as a Service (CaaS) for companies that prefer to build their own applications. CaaS  allows cloud developers using a programming language that supports Web Services (Force.com for example) to build an application that integrates FPX’s powerful configuration engine. Product data is prepared using FPX’s Product Data Manager, a data set is published to the CaaS servers, and a Web Services API provides the interface between your application and the configuration engine.
